Maia Sandu, after two years of her mandate: I thank the citizens who put in the effort to make Moldova a better place

On December 24, it was two years since Maia Sandu took over the mandate of president of the Republic of Moldova. On this occasion, the Presidency released a video in which the president talks about the successes the country had during this period and thanked the citizens for their support.

The spot presents the stories of compatriots who returned to the country from abroad, the testimonies of refugees sheltered in Moldova after February 24, when Russia invaded Ukraine, and also the stories of those who remained at home. The president talks about the challenges of the two years in office, including the pandemic, the energy crisis, and the war in the neighboring country, but points out that “the difficulties did not break us”.

“I thank all our citizens who, in these two years, put their shoulders to make Moldova a better place. We will continue to work to have a free and prosperous country. We will achieve this together, united and in solidarity”, says Maia Sandu.
