President Maia Sandu attended on Tuesday evening, February 24, the premiere of the documentary “The Road of War 2: From Heart to Heart,” a film dedicated to solidarity and courage in the context of the war in Ukraine.

Maia Sandu said the documentary tells the story of those who face aggression and those who take risks to support victims of the conflict.

“It is a film about solidarity and courage. About those who stand firm in the face of aggression and those who take risks to bring support and hope,” the president wrote on her Facebook page.

She also underlined the enormous price Ukraine is paying to prevent the war from spreading further toward the Republic of Moldova and Europe.

According to the head of state, the documentary is not easy to watch, but it is recommended for mature audiences, as understanding reality helps maintain the determination to remain on the side of good.

“Peace is not a given, but a fragile gift that must be defended every day,” she added.

Images from the event show Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, and Minister of Culture Cristian Jardan alongside Maia Sandu.

The documentary “The Road of War 2: From Heart to Heart,” produced by journalists Viorica Tataru and Andrei Captarenco, follows the route of humanitarian aid from the Republic of Moldova to eastern Ukraine, in areas heavily affected by the war. Through the story of volunteer Tudor Procopciuc and his team, the film portrays dangerous journeys, encounters with civilians, refugees, and soldiers, as well as the solidarity that emerges in extreme conditions.
