Moldovan President Maia Sandu received on June 19 in Chisinau Romanian Foreign Minister Luminita-Teodora Odobescu, who is on her first visit to Chisinau since taking office, the press service of the presidential office reported.
“I congratulated Minister Odobescu on her appointment to her new position and thanked her for ensuring that Moldova continues to be a priority for Romania,” the head of state said.
The president stressed that during the meeting, they discussed the EU accession process, the reforms we are undertaking, and the bilateral agenda.
“Romania has been and remains a staunch supporter of Moldova. We will continue to work together to promote prosperity, stability, and shared values for the benefit of people on both banks of the River Prut,” Sandu stressed.
