The country’s president, Maia Sandu, welcomed the UN’s decision to appoint Natalia Gherman, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, to the position of executive director of the Anti-Terrorism Executive Directorate.
The head of state wished Natalia Gherman success in her new position.
“Delighted to welcome the UN’s decision to appoint Natalia Gherman as Executive Director of the Anti-Terrorism Executive Directorate. I wish her success in her new position”, Maia Sandu said.
We remind you that the ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Natalia Gherman, was appointed as the head of the Executive Directorate of the UN Committee to Combat Terrorism (CTED), following the agreement of the Security Council last week. The announcement was made by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
