President Maia Sandu today attended a ceremony on the inauguration of the biggest emergency reception unit, endowed with last-generation equipment, the presidential press service has reported.
“The Emergency Reception Unit of the Emergency Medicine Institute from Chisinau was inaugurated today. The institution looks like a true European hospital, with spacious rooms and modern medical equipment. This is the result of our close cooperation with EU and other development partners, along with whom, the Health Ministry and the hospital’s administration constructed and endowed the unit according to the highest standards”, President Maia Sandu said.
Also, the head of state stressed that European Moldova looks namely like this and we want to have names of such hospitals in the country. Hospitals where physicians have good conditions for work, which allow them to intervene quickly and efficiently to save people’s lives.
„I thanked the medical team – all those who chose to dedicate themselves to the fight for life. I thank all Moldova’s partners, who support us to Europeanize the medical system,’’ Maia Sandu added.
The Ministry of Health allocated about 42 million lei from the state budget and projects implemented with the support of partners to create a reception department. The EU provided about 15.2 million lei.
