Maia Sandu: Putin will be arrested if he comes to Moldova. Moscow’s reaction

Maia Sandu told Euronews Romania that if Vladimir Putin comes to Moldova, he will be arrested. The President specified that our country is part of the International Criminal Court and is obliged to comply with its decisions.

“Moldova has signed an agreement with the International Criminal Court and will comply with the court’s decision. I learned that the war started at 4 am. At 5 am, I was here (in the presidential administration building), waiting for the members of the Supreme Security Council,” the president said.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has every reason to initiate a criminal case against President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu on the fact of the threat of arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin and putting her on the international watch list, said Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy Head of the International Committee of the Federation Council.

“It seems that the citizen of Romania, Ms. M. Sandu, who holds the post of President of Moldova, is nuts. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has every reason to initiate a criminal case against Sandu on the fact of the threat of arresting the President of Russia and putting her on the international wanted list. I dreamed that the head of Great Russia would come to her country. The economy and well-being of Moldova are completely dependent on Moscow,” Dzhabarov wrote in his Telegram channel.

On March 17, a court in The Hague issued an arrest warrant addressed to the President of Russia. Vladimir Putin is accused of war crimes in Ukraine.
