Maia Sandu signed the Decree to open the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Kazakhstan

The Republic of Moldova will soon have a diplomatic mission in Astana. In this regard, President Maia Sandu signed on Thursday, September 5th, the Decree approving the establishment of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the Republic of Kazakhstan – an essential step in expanding our country’s presence in Central Asia.

Kazakhstan represents an important market and supplier of raw materials and energy resources. Also, it is a valuable economic partner for the Republic of Moldova. Through this new embassy, the authorities in Chisinau aim to strengthen bilateral relations, open new economic opportunities, and intensify political dialogue with the countries in the region.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popsoi, also reiterated the announcement.
