On 16 and 17 May, President Maia Sandu will take part in the fourth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Council of Europe in Iceland.
As part of the fourth CE summit, which is taking place in Reykjavik (Iceland), the head of state will hold several bilateral meetings with colleagues and prime ministers. The President proposes in this way to promote the European agenda of the Republic of Moldova.
Romanian President Klaus Iohannis also announced his participation in the event. During the summit, the International Register of Damage Caused by Russian Aggression in Ukraine will be launched, in which Romania will play the role of a founder.
The third summit was held in Warsaw in May 2005, when the leaders of the 46 member countries reviewed the organization’s priorities for the coming years.
