Mihai Popsoi discussed tensions in the Middle East and the security of Moldovans with his Israeli counterpart

Mihai Popsoi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, held a phone conversation with his Israeli counterpart Gideon Saar. During the discussion, they examined growing security risks in the Middle East, particularly military tensions, and their impact on regional and global political and economic stability.

The officials exchanged views on the current situation and stressed the importance of maintaining international efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the Persian Gulf region. Popsoi also addressed the situation of Moldovan citizens in the Israel and reiterated the interest of the authorities in Chisinau in ensuring their safety. In this context, Saar noted that Israeli institutions provide all necessary assistance to the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Tel Aviv.

At the same time, Gideon Saar informed his Moldovan counterpart that Israel has partially resumed flights for the return of its citizens. In the coming period, flights to destinations outside the country may also become possible for foreign citizens when the security situation allows.
