Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi met with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar in Chisinau to advance Moldovan-Israeli cooperation. The two officials identified green energy, agriculture, health, and education as priority sectors.
They also agreed to revive the Moldovan-Israeli intergovernmental commission for commercial and economic cooperation. This mechanism will promote mutual investments and support the implementation of joint projects in key sectors.
“The Moldovan-Israeli intergovernmental commission is a vital tool for boosting trade, launching joint initiatives, and attracting investment. The opening of the Israeli Embassy in Chisinau this February will further strengthen these ties,” said Popsoi.

It marks Gideon Sa’ar’s second official visit to Moldova, following his trip in February 2025.
