Moldova will connect to the European Union secure communication network designed for information exchange between public administration authorities in EU member states and associated countries. The government approved this provision in a draft decision adopted today.
“We are continuing our integration, including technical integration, into existing EU networks. The main goal of the draft is to ensure our connection to the TESTA network by establishing a regulatory framework to govern this process, through STISC, which will act as the national connection point to the TESTA network,” Deputy Prime Minister Eugeniu Osmochescu said at the government meeting.
By joining TESTA, Moldova will provide citizens with more secure, more transparent digital public services aligned with European standards. The connection to the EU secure communication infrastructure will allow fast and protected data exchange between authorities, reduce bureaucracy, and simplify interaction with state institutions.
The TESTA network (Trans European Services for Telematics between Administrations) serves as a common European infrastructure for the secure exchange of data between public administration authorities in EU member states and associated countries. Each participating state operates a secure national access point, which enables entities to connect to various EU information systems in areas such as justice, home affairs, taxation, customs, and public health.
