Moldova’s Parliament has ratified a new agreement with Azerbaijan to enhance efforts against illegal migration.
The agreement establishes streamlined procedures for identifying and readmitting individuals who fail to meet entry, residence, or stay requirements in either country. It outlines the responsibilities of competent authorities, designated border crossing points, protocols for readmission and transit, transfer conditions, transportation methods, cost allocation, and personal data protection.
Signed in Baku on 24 May 2024, the agreement marks a significant step in bilateral cooperation on migration management.
