Moldova and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Sign General Cooperation Agreement

The Republic of Moldova and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will sign a General Cooperation Agreement. The External Political and European Integration Committee has approved the advisory opinion regarding the initiation of negotiations on the draft General Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Agreement envisions the development of trade, economic, and investment cooperation, encouraging direct contacts between economic agents from both countries, facilitating citizens’ investments in various sectors in the Republic of Moldova and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, the exchange of visits by delegations and economic, commercial, and technological missions from the public and private sectors will be encouraged, along with participation in trade exhibitions held in both countries, as well as the establishment of joint investment enterprises.

Among the treaty’s objectives are also the promotion of cooperation in the fields of education, science, culture, media, tourism, youth, and sports.
