Prime Minister Dorin Recean attended the opening ceremony of Moldova DevCon 2024, a major regional conference that brings together engineers, experts, and industry leaders in information technology.
In his remarks, Recean highlighted Moldova’s potential for digital product development and noted the enduring appeal of the IT sector among young people. He emphasized the significance of the Moldova IT Park, highlighting its extended operation through 2035 and the retention of its 7% flat tax rate.
“We will continue to work toward greater predictability and clear long-term prospects for professionals and investors in the IT field. Our goal is to build robust digital infrastructure and maintain a supportive legal and fiscal environment, allowing Moldova’s tech sector to thrive,” stated Prime Minister Recean.

The event features practical sessions covering integrating artificial intelligence into data systems, mobile application development, and cybersecurity, focusing on compliance with European regulations. International companies are also presenting employment opportunities in the tech industry.
The conference hosts around 600 IT specialists and 20 speakers from 10 countries, including Germany, the Netherlands, South Africa, Sweden, Finland, Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia, Romania, and Moldova.
