The Republic of Moldova will host the 135th Ministerial Session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, an event expected to bring together more than 50 delegations from member states and over 20 foreign ministers.

The meeting will take place at the Palace of the Republic and will mark the conclusion of Moldova’s term holding the Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe — the country’s second mandate after the one it held in 2003.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, the agenda will focus on support for Ukraine, combating disinformation and foreign interference, regional security, and strengthening democratic resilience.

Maia Sandu, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi, and Alain Berset will open the event.

At the end of the session, the Republic of Moldova will hand over the rotating presidency of the Committee of Ministers to Monaco.
