Easter of the Ancestors is a religious holiday. Some people consider it to have Christian origins, while others see it as rooted in pagan traditions. People traditionally celebrate it on the Monday after Easter.

During the Easter holidays, Moldovans reunite with their families at home, return from abroad, visit villages, and spend time with relatives and loved ones. On this day, people go to cemeteries to honor those who have passed away. They offer red eggs, Easter bread, and “pască” to the needy and place flowers on graves.

Grupul Media Realitatea highlights that the future of our country depends on each of us. Every small step creates a big change, and the choices we make today influence the lives of our descendants. Through the “Moldova That Unites Us” campaign, the media group shares stories of people who made history, citizens’ opinions from the streets, current socio-political news, and materials about symbols that Moldovans carry in their hearts or luggage, from Lisbon to New York.
