The Republic of Moldova will once again host the final tournament of a European championship, after UEFA announced that EURO U17 in 2029 will take place in our country.
The decision was made on Thursday by the UEFA Executive Committee, which approved the candidacy submitted by the Moldovan Football Federation.
The UEFA Under-17 European Championship is regarded as a launching platform for future stars of European football, bringing together the strongest junior national teams from across the continent. These teams will come to Moldova to compete for the prestigious trophy.
This will be the second European final tournament hosted by Moldova, following the organization of Futsal EURO U19 at Chisinau Arena in 2025.
