The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) and the Moldexpo International Exhibition Center have announced the inaugural Local Product exhibition, set to take place from August 22 to 24. The event will serve as a national platform to support Moldovan producers and promote goods made by local entrepreneurs.
Hosted at Moldexpo, the exhibition will span the central pavilion, No. 2, and outdoor areas. The central pavilion will feature themed stands representing each district of Moldova, showcasing emblematic products such as wines, cheeses, honey, handicrafts, and more. Pavilion No. 2 will highlight startups, artisans, and entrepreneurs in the creative and agribusiness sectors. Dedicated outdoor spaces will offer fresh and processed food, featuring tastings and direct sales of fruits, vegetables, sweets, and natural drinks.
Organizers aim to establish Local Product as an annual event celebrating quality, tradition, and local pride, bringing together producers and consumers from across the country and the Diaspora.

The CCI President, Sergiu Harea, emphasized the exhibition’s multiple goals: supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), promoting regional economic identity, engaging the Moldovan Diaspora, improving market access, and strengthening consumer awareness of local, organic, and sustainable products.
“We want Local Product to become not just an exhibition but a truly national movement, highlighting the work, dedication, and local entrepreneurs’ talent,” said Harea. “It’s time to turn the pride of being Moldovan into a tangible economic advantage.”
Harea also stressed the strategic importance of connecting with the Diaspora, noting that its members can play a vital role in promoting Moldovan products abroad and attracting investment.
The CIE Moldexpo Interim Director, Zinaida Popa, called Local Product an event “exclusively dedicated to Moldovan producers,” aiming to reflect the authenticity and diversity of local goods made with “love, care, and passion.” She noted that products on display will range from agri-food and textiles to furniture, natural cosmetics, and innovative services developed by Moldova’s youth.
“This platform offers a unique opportunity to strengthen our local economy and build direct connections between entrepreneurs, consumers, and investors,” said Popa. “We want this to be a magical event—a celebration of local products, good music, and culture.”
The exhibition will also feature the Festival of Products of Moldova, a cultural and gastronomic fair with regional cuisine, craft markets, culinary contests, traditional recipes, folk performances, and dances from across the country.
Entrepreneurs wishing to participate must submit their applications by July 18.
