The Canadian government will grant Moldova a loan of 120 million Canadian dollars. The members of the Parliamentary Commission for Foreign Policy and European Integration approved an advisory opinion on the launch of negotiations on a relevant agreement.
The state budget will use the financial means to promote sustainable growth by boosting competition and private sector-led growth, increasing the resilience of refugees and households, and supporting climate change resilience and green energy transition. Also, the financial assistance will complement the program offered to Moldova by the World Bank, “Development Policies Operation to Support Growth and Sustainability in Moldova,” which is to be signed.
The Canadian government will grant the loan to Moldova for a ten-year term. After signing the document, the parliament will examine a draft for its ratification.
