Moldova will take over the chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe

Moldova will chair the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe from November 2025 to May 2026.

In this context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has undertaken the elaboration of a draft decision on the creation of a working group to ensure the necessary processes and to approve the nominal composition. Consultations have been announced at this stage.

The Committee of Ministers is the governing body of the Council of Europe. It comprises the heads of diplomacy of the 46 member states or their permanent diplomatic representatives in Strasbourg.
