Moldovan athletes compete at the Paralympic Games in Paris

The first Moldovan athletes participating in the Paralympic Games in Paris start competing today.

“At 11:00 Chisinau time, Ina Cernei will make her Paralympic debut at the Paralympic Games in the para judo event. She will face Alfiya Tlekkabyl from Kazakhstan in the first duel in the weight category up to 57 kg,” the Ministry of Education and Research announced.

Another Moldovan athlete who will debut at the Paralympic Games in Paris is Gheorghe Spinu, who will compete in the shot put, F35 category.

Five athletes represent Moldova at the Paralympic Games in Paris. So far, our country has won two medals at the Paralympic Games, both in 1996.
