The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova (CCI of the Republic of Moldova) hosted the 21st edition of the “Moldovan Business Gala” on Wednesday, June 5. The annual event brought together the elite of the Moldovan business community, government officials, and development partners to honor the impressive achievements of local companies.
The “Moldovan Business Gala” included an award ceremony for the winners of the “Trademark of the Year” competitions, organized in collaboration with the State Agency for Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova, and the awarding of the “Quality Achievement Award” for 2023.
At the opening ceremony, the President of the CCI of the Republic of Moldova, Sergiu Harea, addressed a message of gratitude to the partners and participants.
“The more than 1,800 brands entered in the 20 years of the competitions demonstrate the perseverance and desire to promote business excellence. Let’s join efforts to support outstanding companies and continue to support them to contribute to the economic and social development of the Republic of Moldova. We are proud to highlight and appreciate the contributions of companies led by strong women dedicated to social issues and community needs. We also recognize the efforts of businesses in implementing social responsibility practices, creating a family-friendly working environment, and developing transparent business according to private sector integrity standards,” said Sergiu Harea.

Participants in these competitions are the cornerstones of Moldova’s economy, generating development and promoting business excellence. Their efforts and hard work over the years have culminated in exceptional results, reflected in their recognition at the event.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Dorin Recean, noted that despite the crisis, entrepreneurs have new development opportunities and have invested in the national economy, creating jobs and wealth in our country.
“Economic optimism is returning, and we have an opportunity we have never had before – to be competitive in the largest and richest market in the world. Accession to the European Union means a better life for our citizens and a competitive business environment that offers opportunities for big investments,” the Prime Minister stressed.
The “Moldovan Business Gala” aims to recognize and promote business excellence, encouraging companies to achieve high-quality standards and strengthen their brands in the domestic and international markets. Through these awards, the CCI of Moldova supports and stimulates enterprises to adopt innovative and sustainable practices.
Now in its 21st edition, the “Trademark of the Year” competition is one of the most effective tools for promoting trademarks in domestic and foreign markets. Last year’s edition saw 110 brands participating. The 106 brands received awards. The 20 editions of “Moldovan Business Gala” have registered more than 1800 trademarks in the event.
To compete for the grand prize, the “Golden Mercury,” trademarks must be registered in one or more nominations according to professionalism criteria.
The “Award for Achievement in the Quality of Goods and Services” competition is in its 10th edition. It aims to highlight companies that have successfully implemented quality management. The competition awards give the Laureates and Diplomate the image of a leader and the reputation of a reliable organization.
