Citizens of the Republic of Moldova, who find themselves in a difficult situation in states where our country does not have a diplomatic representation, will be able to use the consular assistance offered by the diplomatic or consular missions of the GUAM member states (Georgia, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan). Similarly, Moldova will offer support to citizens of three states.
The parliament voted in the first reading the ratification of the Convention of state-owned organizations for Democracy and economic development on mutual assistance in consular issues. The 53 deputies voted for the bill.
The Convention of the members of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development on mutual assistance in consular matters was signed in 2022 in New York.
