Moldovan holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports will travel without visas to the Sultanate of Oman after the government decided to initiate negotiations and approve the signing of a relevant agreement.
At the cabinet meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi said the draft agreement reflects the shared interest of Moldova and Oman in stimulating, diversifying, and developing bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation. He said the agreement will facilitate reciprocal travel for the relevant categories of persons in line with national legislation and regulations on public order and national security.
Mihai Popsoi stressed that the initiative reaffirms both states commitment to creating favorable conditions for strengthening political dialogue and developing economic, trade, technical, scientific, and cultural relations by facilitating direct contacts between decision makers.
Moldova has signed similar agreements with several other states.
