Moldovan Embassy in Tel Aviv Has No Official Confirmation of Injured Citizens After Rocket Attacks

The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Tel Aviv has not yet received official confirmation from Israeli authorities regarding any Moldovan citizens injured in the rocket attacks that took place last night.

The Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) responded to media reports claiming that the attacks in Israel injured at least one Moldovan citizen by issuing an official statement. The MFA emphasized that the embassy’s diplomatic team constantly contacts the relevant Israeli authorities to verify the reports.

“As of this moment, the Embassy of Moldova in Tel Aviv has no official confirmation from Israeli authorities regarding the involvement of any Moldovan citizens in last night’s rocket attacks. The diplomatic team continues working closely with the relevant institutions to verify the information reported in the press,” the MFA stated.

On June 14, Moldovan Ambassador to Israel Alexandr Roitman confirmed that the authorities had reported no casualties or injuries among Moldovan citizens following the attacks.

At the same time, Ambassador Roitman issued a message to Moldovan citizens residing in Israel. He stressed that the security situation in the region remains tense and urged Moldovan nationals to strictly follow the safety instructions issued by Israeli authorities, avoid unnecessary travel, and stay close to designated bomb shelters.

In light of the escalating conflict, the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a maximum-level travel alert for the State of Israel on June 13—Avoid All Travel. A Crisis Cell is also activating.

The alert comes in the wake of renewed hostilities between Iran and Israel. On June 14, both countries exchanged rocket fire and airstrikes after Israel launched a major offensive on June 13 aimed at preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
