Moldovan Foreign Minister met with his Czech counterpart in Prague. What did the officials talk about?

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi met with his Czech counterpart Jan Lipavsky in Prague today.

During the meeting, Minister Popsoi discussed deepening the dialogue between Moldova and the Czech Republic, focusing on increasing trade and economic exchanges and attracting Czech investments in Moldova.

“I thanked my counterpart for supporting Moldova’s European aspirations. In return, Jan Lipavsky assured us of full support in this regard. I also expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by the Czech government in managing the energy crisis and the refugee situation,” Popsoi stated.

Popsoi also highlighted the importance of cooperation between Moldova and the Czech Republic within international and regional organizations. “We agreed to deepen sectoral dialogue to utilize the existing potential better and continue cooperation on various projects in Moldova,” he added.

Czech Foreign Affairs Minister Lipavsky affirmed that Moldova can continue to rely on the support and expertise of the Czech Republic in its European integration process.

After the meeting, Mihai Popsoi invited Jan Lipavsky to visit Moldova.
