Moldovan military could deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Ministry of Defence is preparing an appropriate decision.
Soldiers from our country would join the EUFOR Althea military operation deployed by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The authority states that the decision is in the context of Moldova’s commitment to join international peacekeeping missions.
“The draft government decision prepared in the context of the implementation of Article 28 (11) (d) of the National Security Strategy of the Republic of Moldova, approved by Parliament Decision No. 391/2023, which requires Moldova’s participation in international peacekeeping missions and operations under the aegis of NATO and the UN,” the Defense Ministry notes.
The number of soldiers deployed and the region where they will serve is not yet announced.
