Video Spanish Interior Minister in Chisinau. Signed agreement with Efros on permit conversion

Fernando Grande-Marlaska, the Spanish Minister of the Interior, is in Moldova. He met with President Maia Sandu and Moldovan counterpart Adrian Efros.

At the meeting with Adrian Efros, the Spanish official signed the agreement on the mutual recognition and exchange of driving licences. The Ministry of Interior in Chisinau has received computer equipment from the Spanish Ministry of Interior. It includes 140 tablets, 140 monitors, 30 portable printers and 240 cameras, as well as 240 licenses for the software needed to use them.

At the meeting with Maia Sandu, Fernando Grande-Marlaska said that Spain and Moldova have been working together on security for two years now since Russia invaded Ukraine.

The President and the Minister from Madrid also discussed the outcomes of the bilateral agreement between the Kingdom of Spain and the Republic of Moldova on security and criminal justice cooperation, which was signed in 2013 and has been in force since 2015. At the meeting, Grande-Marlaska took the opportunity to reiterate the Spanish government’s support for the country’s European integration.
