Soldiers from Moldova’s 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion, known as the Blue Helmets, secured first place in the prestigious Best Warrior Competition organized by the National Guard in North Carolina, USA.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the competition spanned five days and tested participants in a challenging event range. These included physical fitness, day and night shooting with various weapon systems, land navigation, a forced march, medical training, swimming challenges, and navigating an obstacle course.
The Moldovan team competed against six other teams from the U.S. Army, showcasing exceptional skill and determination.

It marks the second consecutive year Moldovan peacekeepers have participated in the competition. Last year, they achieved second place, making this year’s victory a significant milestone.
