Prime Minister Vasile Tofan met with his Dutch counterpart, Rob Jetten, during his visit to New York. The officials discussed Moldova’s European path, the Netherlands’ support for the country’s EU accession, as well as investment, the economy and ways to attract more Dutch companies to Moldova.
“I was pleased to meet with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Rob Jetten in New York. For me, this discussion also had a personal note: I lived and worked in the Netherlands for some time and know the country well, including the direct way people approach issues and their culture of turning ideas into concrete results. For me, the Netherlands is also an example of how a relatively small country can have a strong economy, solid institutions and an important voice in Europe. There are many aspects of this experience that could also be useful to us,” the prime minister said in a message.

Prime Minister Vasile Tofan is currently on a working visit to New York from September 23 to 26. The head of government will attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
