Prime Minister Dorin Recean met with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola in Brussels to discuss Moldova’s reform progress and continued support for the country’s EU accession path.
During the meeting, Recean expressed his gratitude for the European Parliament’s ongoing assistance and the confidence placed in the Moldovan people. He highlighted the €1.9 billion Growth Plan for Moldova as a vital pillar of support from the European Union.
“We will work to be ready for accession by 2028, and the Republic of Moldova will not only be supported but also represented in the European Parliament as an EU member,” Recean stated.

The meeting occurred during Recean’s official visit to Brussels for the ninth session of the Republic of Moldova–European Union Association Council, further advancing Moldova’s European integration process.
