Government programs in Moldova will be only “limited affected” by Donald Trump’s order to suspend foreign funding, authorities said. Officials are currently reviewing each sector to assess the full impact.
Government spokesman Daniel Voda clarified and expressed confidence that U.S.-Moldova relations will continue to develop.
“Over the years, the United States has consistently supported the Moldovan people in strengthening independence and democracy. Their assistance has taken many forms—we have access to sanitation programs, improved roads, and modernized villages and towns. These were tangible projects,” Voda said.
