A concert dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Republic of Moldova’s Independence will take place on August 27 at 6:00 p.m. in Great National Assembly Square in Chisinau. The Realitatea Media Group will broadcast the event live across all of its platforms.
The stage in the center of the capital will host some of Moldova’s most popular artists and established musical groups.
The lineup includes Satoshi, Alternosfera, Zdob si Zdub, Lupii lui Calancea, Tania Turtureanu, Pasha Parfeni, DARA, Akord, Magnat & Feoctist, Vali Boghean, Nelly Ciobanu, Catharsis, Aliona Moon, Anatol Mirzenco, Natalia Barbu, Orchestra Fluieras, Catalin Josan, Surorile Osoianu, Gheorghe Topa, Marina Dobrescu, Ansamblul National Academic de Dansuri Populare JOC, Adriana Ochisanu, Cristina Scarlat, Space Dance Project, Vasile Advahov, Nicolae Glib, Lelita, Maria Iliut, Ioana Maria Dragan, Adriana Babin, the Military Band and the National Symphony Orchestra of Teleradio-Moldova, as well as Cristofor Aldea-Teodorovici and Sergiu Garabaji.
Traffic Restrictions Expected in Central Chisinau
Major traffic restrictions will be introduced in central Chisinau on August 27.
Virtually the entire Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Boulevard will be closed to traffic between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. due to the military parade. Restrictions will also apply to adjacent streets.
The day’s official program will begin with wreath-laying ceremonies at the Eternitate Memorial Complex and at the monument to medieval ruler Stefan cel Mare si Sfant.
The full list of foreign officials expected to attend the Independence Day celebrations has not yet been officially announced. However, Romanian President Nicusor Dan and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy have been invited to participate in the events marking Moldova’s 35th anniversary of independence.
