Moldova’s Infrastructure Minister Addresses Long Queues at Chisinau Airport Amid Rising Travel Demand

The Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Vladimir Bolea, responded to recent images shared by passengers showing long lines at the entrance to the Republic of Moldova through Chisinau International Airport. He explained that the number of travelers has significantly increased during this period and expects this trend to continue until early October.

“We have seen a considerable rise in passenger numbers compared to June. We have increased the Border Police staff on both the entry and exit sides of the country. From a technical perspective, within the terminal’s capacity, we have taken all possible measures to streamline the flow of travelers,” Bolea stated.

Despite these efforts, passengers passing through the airport in recent days posted images of long queues forming at the country’s entrance, with some forced to wait outdoors in front of the terminal.
