“Moscow is a threat to Moldova”: Stoltenberg about NATO support

NATO will strengthen support for the Republic of Moldova. This was stated by the Secretary General of the Alliance Jens Stoltenberg.

He also noted that the Alliance will continue to support countries for which Moscow poses a threat.

According to the official, the Republic of Moldova is included in the partner program of the organization. He also mentioned that NATO’s budget, for this kind of cooperation, should be increased.

“NATO allies have made it clear that they plan to increase support for partners, and of course Moldova is among them. Therefore, I welcome the fact that allies support Moldova in different ways. I met with the President of Moldova and conveyed the same information, about that the allies are ready to do even more,” Stoltenberg added.

The head of the Alliance also said that he welcomes the economic and financial support of the Republic of Moldova from NATO member states. He urged respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country.
