Today, a resolution affirming unwavering support for the European trajectory of Moldova and Ukraine was unanimously adopted during a collaborative session of the legal commissions from the Moldovan, Romanian, and Ukrainian parliaments.
The leadership of the Moldovan Parliament’s Commission for Law, Appointments, and Immunity, the Commission for Law, Appointments, Discipline, Immunity, and Approval of the Romanian Senate, and the Committee for Legal Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine joined forces in signing the resolution.
The document underscores the Romanian Senate’s steadfast reiteration of support for Moldova and Ukraine’s European journey. The Commission for Law, Appointments, Discipline, Immunity, and Approval expressed its ongoing commitment to bolstering the reform process within the framework of EU accession. The resolution stated, “The institutional policy of the Romanian state is directed towards providing comprehensive support at all levels to facilitate the path toward European integration in adherence to democratic values.”

Simultaneously, the signatories strongly condemned the armed aggression by the Russian Federation in Ukraine. They emphasized the imperative to hold those accountable for the aggression legally and to ensure compensation for the damages inflicted by Russia.
The joint meeting of the legal commissions of the Moldovan, Romanian, and Ukrainian parliaments is scheduled to transpire from January 24 to January 28.
