National Wine Day in Moldova: Event’s Date and its Distinguished Guests

Several European Union Agriculture Ministers will come to the Republic of Moldova to participate in National Wine Day. The announcement was made by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Vladimir Bolea, writes Radio Moldova.

“We will invite several Agriculture Ministers from the European Union. On October 6, we will hold an economic conference to which these ministers are invited. We will sign a memorandum of support for the Republic of Moldova between the agriculture ministries. Then, on October 7, we will open this celebration. Additionally, we will take them to Cricova, to a vineyard, so they can see how grapes are grown because, unlike everyone else, the way grapes are grown in the Republic of Moldova is not an economic process but a way of life,” said Vladimir Bolea.

The largest celebration and the only national day in the world dedicated to Moldovan wine and our winemaking traditions will take place on October 7 and 8 this year. Traditionally, the event will be held in the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN).

The event takes place in the context of the tenth anniversary of the launch of the country’s wine brand “Vinul Moldovei. O legendă vie” (“Wine of Moldova. A legend alive”) on the international stage.
