Romanian President Nicusor Dan will visit Chisinau on June 10, marking his first trip to Moldova as president. He announced the visit during a press conference outlining his foreign agenda.
“On June 10, we will host the King of Spain. Later that day, I will travel to Chisinau. Immediately afterward, I will attend a summit in Ukraine with Southeast European countries,” he stated.
Before his election, President Dan pledged to prioritize Moldova in Romania’s foreign policy. His visit reaffirms Romania’s strong support for Moldova’s European integration and highlights deepening cooperation in infrastructure, energy, education, and security.

In Chisinau, President Dan will meet with President Maia Sandu and other senior officials. Discussions will likely focus on regional security, energy resilience, EU integration, and bilateral projects supported by Romania.
Following his visit to Moldova, President Dan will travel to Ukraine for a high-level summit of Southeast European leaders. Moldovan President Maia Sandu confirmed her participation in the event. Due to security reasons, Ukrainian authorities have not announced the summit’s date.
President Dan’s visit is amid rising regional tensions and ongoing efforts by Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine to strengthen cooperation in energy, security, and European integration.
