Nigeria Becomes the Main Market for Moldovan Wines in Africa

Nigeria has become the main market for Moldovan wines in Africa, with nearly 900,000 liters exported in just the first seven months of 2025. The topic was discussed today, August 28, at the Ministry of Agriculture during a meeting with a delegation of Nigerian distributors.

Secretary of State Andrian Digolean emphasized the potential of the Nigerian market, while the delegation expressed interest in expanding cooperation, including in other agri-food sectors.

Moldovan officials also invited their Nigerian partners to participate in the National Wine Day in October.

Currently, nine Moldovan companies export wines to Nigeria, which ranks 8th worldwide among importers of Moldovan wine.
