One person has died and 10 others have been taken to hospital after a serious road accident on the M5 highway between Codreanca and Bravicea in Straseni district on the morning of August 12.
According to preliminary police information, the accident occurred at around 7:10 a.m. A 34-year-old woman driving a Skoda crossed into the opposite lane for reasons that remain under investigation and collided with a Mercedes minibus driven by a 53-year-old man carrying passengers.
The impact caused the minibus to overturn. A 49-year-old female passenger died at the scene.
Both drivers underwent alcohol testing, with the results coming back negative.
Police are continuing to investigate the case and establish all the circumstances surrounding the accident.
