Over 100 mayors from Europe and Ukraine gather in Moldova for the International Mayors Summit 2024

On 11 April 2024, Moldova will host a landmark event in urban and rural development: the International Mayors’ Summit 2024. The event will bring together more than 60 mayors and special guests from the European Union and 40 mayors – from Ukraine to Moldova. It presents a significant opportunity for city leaders from across the continent to share, learn, and collaborate on transforming urban and rural environments.

Mayors from Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Lithuania, and Moldova will showcase their innovative and creative solutions to unique local challenges. The International Mayors Summit provides a platform for city leaders to showcase innovative solutions to urban challenges. This event will provide a platform for mayors from the EU and the region to share their successful strategies for improving urban and rural life, with a focus on sustainability and community welfare. The mayors will present their approaches to urban management.

The Summit format will encourage knowledge sharing and establish a strong international network among leaders involved in urban transformation. Participants can explore various urban development solutions and potentially initiate new projects and partnerships.
