The parliament will adopt measures to enhance legislation to prevent and combat organized crime. Today, members of the parliamentary commission for national security, defense, and public order reviewed a draft law addressing this issue.
The proposed legislation introduces provisions for implementing effective mechanisms to tackle transnational organized crime. It establishes a legal framework enabling authorities to intervene before offenses are committed, thereby protecting society from criminal activities.
The initiative includes mechanisms for collecting relevant data and intelligence on criminal organizations and monitoring gatherings of organized crime members. These measures will target organizations funded by crime rings or those providing support to such groups. The initiative aims to enhance prevention and combat efforts by quickly identifying criminal group members, their methods of operation, and funding sources while equipping the state with tools for rapid intervention.
