The ruling Party of Action and Solidarity says it is awaiting the conclusions of the National Integrity Authority (ANI) after PAS lawmaker Alexandr Trubca publicly disclosed details of his real estate business activities.

“We are waiting for ANI’s assessment and conclusions. We hope that the evaluation will be fair and objective,” PAS spokesperson Adriana Vlas told Realitatea.

Contacted by Realitatea, ANI spokesperson Victor Moloșag said he could not immediately confirm whether the referral had been received because the institution was on its lunch break. He suggested contacting the authority’s registry later.

Asked to comment more generally, Moloșag explained that any person may submit a complaint to ANI, which is then registered, assigned for review, and ultimately results in either a decision or a formal finding regarding the person concerned and the inspection carried out.

Following the conversation, Realitatea submitted an official request to ANI by email seeking confirmation that the complaint had been received, as well as information on the expected timeline for its assignment and examination.

Trubca recently held a press briefing in which he voluntarily disclosed details about his real estate business interests and defended their legality. He said that in September 2024 he had been offered the opportunity to purchase a 0.8-hectare plot of land in Trușeni, and explained how he established and managed his company over the past several years.

His remarks came ahead of an investigative report announced by TV8 concerning his business activities. Trubca said he chose to address the matter publicly to avoid damaging PAS’s image and argued that Moldovan public officials are not prohibited from engaging in business activities.
