Passenger Boom in Chisinau! “Eugen Doga” Airport Sets a Record in June

Chisinau International Airport, officially named Eugen Doga International Airport, handled 716,165 passengers in June, an increase of nearly 95,500 passengers compared to the same month last year.

The result exceeded the airport’s forecast by more than 93,000 passengers, reaching 115% of the initial projection.

The strongest passenger growth was recorded on routes to Tel Aviv, Yerevan, Sharm El Sheikh, Barcelona, Istanbul, Paris, Brussels, Athens and Heraklion.

Newly launched destinations attracted more than 40,000 passengers during June. Among the most popular new routes were El Dabaa, Naples, Bratislava, Sofia, Copenhagen and Wrocław.

During the same month, the airport also handled 190 tonnes of cargo, while passenger traffic increased in both the arrivals and departures segments.
