The Republic of Moldova, represented by the Moldova Fruct Association and a fruit production company, is participating this year in the international Asia Fruit Logistica exhibition. The event, held from September 4-6, signifies our country’s second consecutive year of participation.
“Asia Fruit Logistica offers a valuable chance to enhance Moldova’s reputation as a producer of high-quality fruit. It also allows increasing our sales and distribution within the Asian market. While Moldovan exporters have experience with markets in the Middle East, Bangladesh, and Malaysia, apple exports remain heavily dependent on the Eurasian Economic Union market, which poses risks for the sector. The advantage of this market is the chance to export at favorable prices early in the season and until February. Despite the logistical challenges in the Red Sea, expanding Moldova’s presence in this region remains a key strategic goal,” said Iurie Fala, Executive Director of APEF Moldova Fruct.
At Moldova’s stand, we showcased apples, plums, and grapes for tasting. Attendees from Saudi Arabia, Chile, Mongolia, Indonesia, India, and other countries were delighted by the exceptional quality and flavor of our fruits.

“The Asian market presents challenges due to its cultural specifics, distinct consumer demands, and intense competition from major fruit producers. As exporters, we must ensure the high quality of our fruits despite the long transport times. Nevertheless, this market remains attractive to us, as it represents nearly half of the world’s consumers,” said Victor Cazacu, manager of ProInedit SRL.
Asia Fruit Logistica this year features over 750 exhibitors from 42 countries and regions globally, showcasing a diverse range of products and services. The exhibition provides an excellent platform for promoting Moldovan fruits and expanding exports to Asian and Middle Eastern countries.
