Polish IT-companies are invited to invest in Moldova. Dumitru Alaiba: “We are open to new investments”

Poland ranks seventh among Moldova’s trade partners, with foreign trade value increasing by 26.7% in the first four months of 2024 compared to the last year, totaling $168.1 million.

“This is a positive signal, but we can do more,” said Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, during talks with his Polish counterpart Krzysztof Paszyk.

The two officials explored strategies to enhance economic cooperation between Moldova and Poland.

Alaiba invited Polish companies, including those in the IT sector, to invest in Moldova.

“We already have two Polish companies that are residents of Moldova IT Park. We are open to new investments and grateful for Poland’s support on our European path. We are glad to have a reliable partner,” he said.

Currently, 80 enterprises with Polish capital operate in the Republic of Moldova, with investments in the share capital amounting to 227.3 million lei.
