It is believed that Eugen Niciforciuc became “Vlad Plahotniuc’s enemy” after the creation of the “Movement, Respect, Moldova” party. This was stated by former PDM deputy Eugeniu Niciforciuc himself on the air of the Rezoomat program on RLive. At the same time, he made it clear that Vlad Plahotniuc is now coordinating several parties in Moldova.
“I can’t say that Vlad Plahotniuc coordinates any parties, but I can say for sure that he keeps in touch with many former members of the Democratic Party. He convinces them, directs them, and these indications show that they should not be with Nikiforciuc or “Movement, Respect, Moldova.” We have chosen a different path since 2019. There was a discussion to clarify some issues, which did not change anything in the perception. Everyone went his own way…,”- said Eugen Niciforciuc.
At the end of October 2022, Vlad Plahotniuc said in an interview for Tribuna that he intends to return to politics. The former leader of the Democrats left Moldova in June 2019.
