Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu will go on official visits to Belgium and Sweden. Trips to Brussels and Stockholm are scheduled from June 6 to 8.
The purpose of the visits is to deepen the bilateral dialogue, discuss the European agenda and intensify the process of our country’s accession to the EU.
On Tuesday, in Brussels, Popescu will meet NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana, Director General for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations at the European Commission Gert Jan Koopman, and other officials from the EU.
On Wednesday, June 7, in Stockholm, the Deputy Prime Minister will meet with Foreign Minister of Swedish Tobias Billström, European Affairs Minister Jessica Rosvall, and other Swedish officials.
In addition, Popescu will take part in the conference “Support for Ukraine against Russian Aggression and the Future of European Defense.”
