- Attempts to destabilize the country through paid protests and external influence are ongoing but less effective due to international support and sanctions.

The minister emphasized that the EU and US sanctions limit the ability of fugitive oligarchs and agents to act with impunity, increasing the country’s resilience against malign influence.
Popsoi made these remarks while attending the Annual Meeting of Romanian Diplomacy, where he discussed Moldova’s priorities in its relations with the European Union under the session “An Extended, Safer and More Prosperous Europe.”
