President Sandu Holds Meeting with Israeli Delegation to Discuss Bilateral Agenda and Regional Security

Today, President Maia Sandu had a meeting with a delegation from Israel, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eli Cohen. The dialogue focused on the bilateral agenda, economic cooperation, and security developments in our region.

Maia Sandu encouraged the acceleration of the process of signing the bilateral Agreement on Legal Cooperation in Civil and Criminal Matters, which is being prepared by the Ministries of Justice of both countries.

The head of state also emphasized the importance of joint efforts in the fight against corruption. Furthermore, discussions revolved around the extension of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of Israel regarding the temporary employment of workers from our country in Israel, as well as developments regarding the bilateral signing of the Agreement on the Conversion of Driver’s Licenses.

The President highlighted our interest in enhancing cooperation in the agricultural sector to boost exports to the Israeli market. Likewise, she mentioned our interest in attracting investments from Israel in the field of agricultural production and processing. The participants discussed intensifying cooperation in the tourism sector, including the establishment of multiple direct flight routes.
